I'm trying to find a link to Cincinnati ancestors. My mother says that her Grandmother (Jessie Curtis b. 1875 Cincinnati) told her that her family was related to either the Proctors or the Gambles of Proctor and Gamble. So I'm fishing here to seek info along the Proctor line.

Jessie's mother was Alice Burke (b. 1853 Ohio), who's father was James F. Burke (b. 1830 Dublin, Ireland). James' wife was Jesse (ne. ???), born 1828 Scotland).

Jessie's father was ________ Curtis (b. abt. 1850 Ohio), (d. 1875 to 1880, Ohio).

Please, could any of you tell me of any Proctors having links to the surname Burke or Curtis in Cincinnati?
