I have recently acquired a bible belonging to an Edith Safley. This bible contains personal writings & pictures which belong to her family. There are references to Robert S Safley, Nettie Edith Procter Safley, Edith Juanita, Chester W Gibson, Carol Ann Gibson, Myron J Arneson, E Juanita Safley Gibson, Mitchell Charles Reed & Karie Ann. If this is YOUR family, please let me know. (I'm not asking for any money.)

Here are the 2 photos in Edith Safley's Bible. On the back of the one with the couple, it says... March 1930, Last picture made of Papa. The other is blank.

Sincerely, Andrea Bonnette

I have the original Cabinet Card photograph of “Ada C. Proctor – American Mission – Moradabad, W.P., India”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Rockford (Winnebago Co.) IL, and she looks to be about age 25.
My only wish is to get this original photo back in the hands of someone who will treasure it, and to that end, I am happy to share it with House of Proctor, and trust it will be seen by someone in her family.
I will be very happy to send the original photo, of course. In return, I will ask only my costs, which include the price I paid, state sales tax, the cost of a sturdy photomailer and postage. I bought the photo from an antique shop in Wheaton, IL in October, 2011.

Adah Elizabeth Proctor
Adah Elizabeth Proctor
Pullman, June 13.--Youcynics who laughed loud and long at the "farmerette"--consider Miss Adah Proctor.

She is a student at the Washington State college, studying agriculture, with a view to becoming a livestock breeder when she is graduated. Her ability already is demonstrated thru her winning of three first prises with three entries in a recent big Western stock show.Futhermore, Miss Proctor is one of the highest ranking students in the institution in the practical adaptation of machinery to farming. She has won several honors in agricultural studies, in addition to her success in animal husbandry.

"Why shouldn't a girl make a lifetime career of blooded stock raising?" asks Miss Proctor, whose home is in Seattle. "Improvement of farm animals is a really important work, and I believe it would progress much faster if the farmers' wife gave some attention to this, as well asto the farmhouse and chicken yard."

Miss Adah Elizabeth Proctor was a girl raised in the city who was threatened with tuberculosis. She was told she had to be out of doors, and when she entered the State Colleg of Washington she took up the study of agriculture to be able to be outside and help her in the fight against the disease. Last spring she was the only woman in a class of 50 to graduate from the agricultural college. She is interested in Holstein cattle and has decided to make the raising of purbred animals her life work. The bull is Eagle Pontiac Aemis, herd sire of the colleg Holsteins.
