    • Charles D. (Shay) Ingles, 84, Morgan, Dies Friday, May 21st.

      Charles D. (Shay) Ingles, age 84, of Morgan, Route #2, Falmouth, husband of Anna Proctor Ingles, was born in Pendleton Co., on October 19, 1897 and passed away on Friday, May 21st, 1982 at the St. Luke Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Ky., after an extended illness.

      He was the son of the late Charles and Pearl Oldfield Ingles.

      He was retired farmer and was a member of the Morgan Christian Church Pendleton Co., and was a member of the Ashland Lodge #640, F. and A. M. Mt. Vernon, Ky, and had been a member for more than 50 years. His wife Anna Ingles is retired School teacher and presently a patient at St. Luke Hospital.

      Mr. Ingles and his wife, Anna, had celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

      He also leaves a half-brother, Jess Oldfield, of Latonia, Ky. Shar, as he was known was a fine Christian gentleman and will be sadly missed.

      Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday May 24, at Woodhead Funeral Chapel in Falmouth by Rev. James Dailey, pastor of Morgan Christian Church.

      Casket-bearers were Elders and Deacons of the Church: Charles Lemmon, Jr., Clay Carr, Tommy Moore, Richard Gulick, Sam Pierce, Phillip Wood, Roy Wilson, Floyd Wills, and Jim Godman. They served as Active and Honorary Bearers.

      Three of Shay's favorite old hymns were beautifully sung by the Morgan Christian Church Choir, as he had requested. The following choir members took part accompanied by Mrs. Erma Lemmon, at the organ, they were: Clay Carr, Mabel Carr, Bernice Thompson, Ava Lou Gulick, Pat Yelton, Jeanette Pierce, Charlotte Whaley, Golda Antrobus, Dawson Jones, Mixe Daily and Nancy Wood.

      The Orion Lodge #222, F. and A. M., Falmouth, with acting master, Tollie Hyatt, conducted an inpressive Masonic burial service, at his grave site, in the Morgan Cemetery, with following officers and others participating: Tollie Hyatt, W. M., Rev. James Potts, Chaplin, Archie Covington, Will Schultz, J. D. Woodhead, William F. Bell and Archie Ashcraft.

      Interment with Masonic rites took place in the Morgan Cemetery Pendleton County. May He Rest In Peace.
