My first husband was Pleasant Haze (not Henry as shown here)Proctor. He is buried at Springfield Cemetery as shown at Sarpy Co, Nebraska. I have birth and death info on Pleas and his sisters(he was the only boy). He was a son of Victor, raised by his grandparents Pleasant Haze and Sarah after his mother died when his sister Fern was born. Victor remarried and had another child Helen (who married Roy Stock).

I am a Proctor too! It is nice to find this site. My mother is Margaret Elfreda Proctor Wells, born in 1915 in Ely, Nevada. Her father is Alfred James Proctor, born in 1885, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Came to the US in early 1900's and settled in Ruth, Nevada as a copper miner. His family was from Sarnia Ontario Canada. They came from England in 1835 and settled in Canada.

What a fantastic web site.
I am researching the Alexander Proctor family who were the first family to stay in Grand Lake year around. Even though it was for only one year they did spend all summers here from 1877 to 1885. Alexander prospected for gold in Colorado during those summers.

I finally found the information I was searching for. I am a direct descendent of Sarah "Sally" Proctor and Linn Banks. I had found several sources and material in Garrard County, Kentucky and have added to my family tree through my grandmother's research and wonderful sites like this.
